I don't regret trying it, but not worth returning.nnMeal came out to $25 pre tip which is steep for a diner.nnBacon was sad, sausage was school cafeteria quality. Pancakes were spongy, not light and fluffy.nnOrdered my eggs over easy, and they were over medium.nnAbove average diner coffee.nnService was great and fast.nAtmosphere was quaint and exactly what you would expect from a long standing local diner.
Shout out St. Albans Diner for always coming through for late breakfast. The staff is always so friendly and chatty. Also Stephanie gets some love since you’ve always been awesome.
Today me and my wife had visited Saint Albans today and meet a couple of our friends and decided to go out for lunch. My friends wanted to go to maple city. But you all had a few less cars so we decided to try you out instead in hopes to eat faster.nnWell that was a mistake!! I went in for what is a special holiday in hopes from so breakfast specials!nThe place was obviously understaffed the two working didn’t even smile or say hello when we walked instead they said “any place”. Our server didn’t even offer a hello when greeting our table or even a smile nor others as I watched. We were rushed to get our order but took 10 min to even bring our drinks back.nThe whole time the twogirls seemed so frantic. They clearly should have had more people on. I don’t know if understaffing is a normal for holidays but it does not make it enjoyable as a customer and made me feel like I was annoying them when I asked for a refill of my beveragennThe food did come out with very full plates and food was hot and delicious. But next time I’m going to listen to my friends and go across the street
Nice little diner to get brunch. They serve breakfast all day. Pancakes are filling and the home fries are cooked perfect and amazing. The toast is nicely buttered. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel like your at home. Definitely worth stopping in to eat
Cozy great diner with good food. Food was generously proportioned and tasty. My only complaint is that the desert was expensive, I got one piece of carrot cake for 7$ while my actual meal was 11.99. Otherwise everything was great!
