Restaurant Le Coq Du Nord

Very generous portions at a very good price! Some of the best potatoes I've ever had at a breakfast place. Despite the fact I don't speak a word of french, the woman working there was super nice, and even spoke some English herself.nWould come again.

I got a chance to visit this restaurant last week , the staff there was so friendly and loving , I don’t speak French but they did their best to understand English and made my order perfectly. The interior was so calm and peaceful. I wish I live closer to this restaurant so I can have my morning coffee from here every day . Good luck and keep up the good work

Very tasty food would come again

Le Coq Du Nord feels like our favorite diner back in the USA. The decor is more minimalist but they have a TV set to a channel with shorts of animal rescues and epic backyard athletic failures. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen.nnOne wouldn't want to let this fine food grow cold. The eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast were cooked exactly the way I like them: eggs over-medium and everything else slightly crisp. The coffee was a strong, dark roast -- much better than what passes for coffee in most restaurants in the US. (Across the province, the coffee was great).nnThis restaurant is located at the edge of an industrial area, so you might miss it if you are staying on the main streets near Lac Megantic. Don't miss it! It's worth getting out your GPS.
