I never knew about this place until had some time and was looking for a breakfast place I haven’t been to that wasn’t a mainstream place. Seems like this is the place all the locals go for breakfast. This place was quite busy when I went, but I was able to get a seat at the “bar”. Surprisingly, even though it was busy, service was great and the workers were firing on all cylinders with communication. Great food too. Prices seemed reasonable. Highly recommend.
I always try the corned beef hash at a new spot and they did not disappoint! Large pieces with just the right amount of potato. Everything was good, just wish the spot was a bit bigger so you had more privacy, but you work with what you’ve got! Highly recommend!
Our first time at Kristi’s Cafe, even though we’ve lived in the area for years. There were a few people ahead of us who didn’t want the bar seats, so we happily scooped them up.nnThe first thing I noticed was the hustle of the staff and the communication between the three guys on the line. For a busy Sunday morning, they were completely dialed in with each other.nnWhat really stood out to me, though, was when the owner came through the back with her jacket on. She immediately took it off, checked in with the guys on the line to see if they needed anything or had taken a break, washed her hands, then moved on to check in with the front of house staff. Within minutes, I saw her wrapping silverware, clearing tables, running food, and greeting customers, exactly the kind of business owner backing up her team that every successful establishment needs.nnNeedless to say, the food was a 10/10 and matched the experience you’d expect from a great small cafe. We absolutely will be back. Thanks for a great first experience.
It's the best place I've found in Auburn, Maine, for breakfast. The place is small, so it gets packed quickly. The food is tasty. However, the portions are small, and the prices are high.
I really can't rate anything here because we never got seated we stood there and had people come by us and not even acknowledge us. We finally left. Next time try acknowledging your customers standing by the door waiting to be seated. I can understand having to wait but a little acknowledgment goes a long way
