Chute’s Family Restaurant

We were out for a ride and randomly picked a place to eat. What a find! Best breakfast I've had at a restaurant in years! I had a veggie omelet that was actually loaded with veggies. Pumperknickel bread and crispy hash browns.(hash browns not shown. They came out a minute later and I was too hungry to wait. 😊) Hubby had meat lovers hash, which was home fries smothered in meats and covered with cheese. It came with 2 eggs and beautiful homemade toast. I will be back because there were so many other interesting choices I want to try! The service was friendly and the price was right!

We tried this place because we were staying in town at an Airbnb near there. So glad we did. There were 7 of us and we all loved our food choices. The chicken fried steak was very tender, the gravy was flavorful and not too salty. The star of the dish were the beans. They were so absolutely delightful. Their bread was fresh and flavorful as well. Most got the English muffins and one tried the honey maple. All were fantastic! The hash’s were good as well. I got the hunters hash with thinly sliced steak, it tasted like a deconstructed Philly Cheesesteak. The portions are large and the place was shockingly affordable. I think we paid just over $100 for the 7 of us. The only critique is the wait. They are busy on weekends. But again, there were 7 of us, and it’s one of few breakfast spots around there. You can tell it’s really popular. The service was amazing as well. Our server was complimentary and checked on us several times. By the time we left I felt like we were all friends.

Chutes is a must visit if your in the Windham area. Only open till 1pm it is a great breakfast place. Cozy atmosphere, though typically a bit busy. Waitresses are always polite, helpful, and just generally super nice.nnFood is very good 😋, prices are pretty low but quality is excellent. Proportions are decently big as well.

This is your classic “hole in the wall diner”. Great breakfast and lunch options. Very simple atmosphere, but service is always decent and food is hot and tasty. Sometimes very busy, but have never been disappointed here!

The food was fresh and waitress friendly. She took our order with accuracy. Sadly the chef did not prepare the order properly. We were told the chef was preparing others orders and we had to wait to have the chefs mistake. I sat watching my husband enjoy his food for over 20 minutes to remake a salad without cheese.... In the end I was force to take my food to go and eat on the road.
