Cabot’s Ice Cream in Newtonville, MA is one of those classic Boston-area dessert spots known for generous sundaes, creamy ice cream, and a nostalgic neighborhood ice cream parlor experience.nnWe stopped by while exploring Newtonville and tried a couple of their desserts. The portions were honestly impressive for the price. For about $7.50 you get two scoops of ice cream topped with whipped cream, a cherry, and one topping of your choice, which makes it a really great value. If you order the regular size, you get three scoops of ice cream, which is even more generous.nnOne thing we really appreciated was the large selection of eggless ice cream options, making it easier for vegetarians to enjoy dessert here. There are also so many flavors to choose from, and the ice cream itself is incredibly creamy and rich. The coffee ice cream was especially delicious with a deep, smooth flavor that really stood out.nnWe also ordered the nachos, which were surprisingly great as well and made a nice savory option before diving into dessert.nnOverall, Cabot’s feels like a hidden gem in Newtonville if you’re looking for a classic ice cream shop with big portions and great flavors. The food was Awesome!! Raspberry lime Rickey in a pitcher amazing!!! But dessert was so much better!!! You have to get a sundae to finish your meal or take one home it's so worth it!!! Also totally worth mentioning that we went on a busy Friday night and the service can't be beat!! These people hustle, quick turn time on bussing tables, the food comes out so quick and is delicious!! Cabots is must try and keep visiting ;)

Cabot's is delicious! They have so many ice cream flavors and options. There is also regular diner food, but the ice cream is worth the special trip.nnIf you sit at a table, the server will take your order and bring it to you. You can also get something in the to-go line for a more typical ice cream shop experience.nnThe servers were very accommodating of our large group, allowing us to push 2 tables together.nnIt is recommended that you don't eat a heavy dinner beforehand. Picture is of a the PB &Fluff banana boat- I only got about halfway and took the rest home.

What an incredible ice cream experience! There are so many sundaes to choose from, and everything was absolutely delicious. They’re super generous with the portions — plenty of syrup, ice cream, chocolate, and even cider! Watching them make the ice cream right in front of you while enjoying it was such a fun and unique experience. Definitely a must-visit!

We ordered a hot fudge sundae with two scoops—coffee and maple walnut—topped with hot fudge. We enjoyed the taste! The price was around $8, which felt very reasonable for the quality.
