Super cool and charming. Just step inside and be transported to a experience that should be in this northern small town but it is! We only explored the food half of the building but the other half was part local gift shop and maybe a candy store? Just have to go back to confirm i guess. Anyway we stopped for lunch. Great menu! Different! Healthy! I tried the mushroom soup and did a chefs choice on some wings. My friend tried the hot open hamburger sandwich over some poutine fries. Service was super friendly and it was great for the chef to come out and check on us. Everything was delicious top notch!. P.s. love the music play list!
Visited Bumble Bee Bistro for lunch yesterday with a friend - 10/10 stars, would highly recommend. The food is so fresh and so good!nnPicturednMaple Brussel Sprouts - Crispy brussel sprouts layered with bacon, parmesan and then drizzled with organic maple syrup for a savory sweet finish.nnSmoldering Maple Burger Bowl - Housemade chipotle maple sauce with caramelized onions and cheddar with mixed salad and sweet potato fries.nnAll American Burger - American cheese, pickles, bistro sauce, and wavy wedge fries
Absolutely adorable place to dine.nWalking in, I was pleased to see a gift shop. When I was being seated, there were groups of all sizes including a party of 15 by the salad bar. The room seemed full but spacious enough to be comfortable. Even with the busyness, the staff were friendly and efficient and seemed happy to be there. Things were neat and tables were cleaned up as soon as customers had left.nThe bistro’s Vermonter Wrap was delicious, and more than I could eat. The sweet potato fries were crispy and I couldn’t stop enjoying them. I brought home a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie… scrumptious!nWhile I waited for my food I walked about the gift shop area and was intrigued by the variety of handmade VT items, fudge, candy and more.n-My new favorite place
We visited on Wednesday at lunchtime, and the bumblebee was busy!nI really enjoyed my turkey cranberry wrap, and the included french fries were good too. It was a generous portion, we probably could have shared it and have had enough. On the other hand,my wife wasn't thrilled with her goat cheese flatbread. It tasted ok to me.nWe both had a cup of New England clam chowder. It was a little salty in our opinion, but I think most customers wouldn't notice that.nThe atmosphere of the restaurant is interesting and quaint, almost funky,in a good way.nService was ok, rather slow, but not surprising because they were so busy, and there isn't a big staff. My biggest gripe about the service is that it would have been nice to get our chowder sooner. It was served before our meal.....one minute before. 🫤nThere are other items on the menu that we look forward to trying.
Old bldg with great food. We stopped I thought for a snack but they had a full menu.nMy sweet chili chicken wrap was the best I’ve had and we go to a lot of restaurants (what I mostly review). The crispy chicken sandwich was as hot and a lot of cheese and a two napkin meal, and that’s okay. Mine was too. Very happy we stopped in and I may want to stop back before we head home for that sweet wrap.nThy have a lot of dishes in their menu and if it were later in the day I would have ordered a margarita. We took some homemade pop tarts to go and the one bite we took on raise to cabin was incredible, look forward to the rest.nIt did take a little time for food to arrive but worth the wait and as we were leaving more tables were filling up.
