The Works Cafe was the perfect stop along a road trip down I-91. There's plenty of seating inside, clean bathrooms, and street parking right outside, and with strong Wi-Fi (500 Mbps down / 180 Mbps up), you can also get some real work done. We had the Mediterranean Quinoa Bowl, Fresh Mozzarella Melt, Mac & Vermont Cheddar (Spinach & Mozzarella), Hot Chocolate, and Brain Freeze (frozen coffee). Everything was well made - great experience all around!
Very cute spot! Right in the center of town.nnLOVED the Mac’n’Cheese! The small was the perfect size because it was actually quiet large!nnAnd the turkey bacon avocado on sourdough was DELICIOUS!nnPerfect place for lunch!
We have mixed feelings on this place. Several things were great like the size of the cafe and the menu options. However, we had a service issue. When waiting for food and drinks, our names were called when the food was ready but not the drinks. Myself and 2 other customers stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for drinks. Numerous drinks were placed on the counter but they weren't marked nor did the person putting them there say anything. We can't just grab random drinks and hope for the best! I frequent cafés and that was a first. Also, the bacon on my sandwich wasnt fully cooked. I had to pull out rubbery pieces of fat. The bacon also wasn't drained so all grease made my bagel kind of soggy. I did like the information on the wall about how earth friendly they are. All in all, we would probably try it again and hopefully have a better experience.
The Works is a solid coffee and deli shop that makes for a perfect stop if you're driving through Brattleboro on your way to New Hampshire. The town itself is cute and definitely worth a quick leg stretch to walk around.nWe stopped in as we walked by, and the experience was great:n• Food: The lunch food was good, and the pastries and cookies were excellent.n• Amenities: This is a very comfortable place to take a break—they offer free WiFi, a clean bathroom, and plenty of seating.nOverall, it's a reliable, clean, and comfortable spot for a lunch break or coffee. I recommend it!
The food and smoothie was fantastic. We are an eclectic group and they had something for us all. Vegan, gluten free and regular person. Service was fast. Sandwiches are large with warm delicious bread. Really enjoyed.
